We are excited to announce that there will be a Mid-Atlantic Geobiology Symposium in Spring 2026! Stay tuned for hosting institution and location!
We welcome attendees from any career stage and invite submission for presentations (oral or poster) on geobiology-related topics including: paleobiology, geology, geomicrobiology, geochemistry, sedimentology, ecology, oceanography, climate science, planetary science and evolutionary biology.
The goal of the annual Mid-Atlantic Geobiology Symposium, initiated in 1990, is to support regional interactions and collaborations to expand understanding of geobiological processes across spatial and temporal scales and at a range of environmental conditions. This yearly event has been hosted by members of various institutions in the Mid-Atlantic (e.g., University of Delaware, John Hopkins University, University of Pennsylvania, Rowan University, Rutgers University, Smithsonian Institution, and U.S. Geological Survey, among others) acting as rotating symposium partners. Ultimately, we hope to bring together researchers of various career stages at a range of institutions (e.g., primarily undergraduate institutions, state and private R1 Universities, and federal research entities) in the region.
We hope to see you there!
