We are excited to announce that the joint Mid-Atlantic and NorthEast (MANE) Geobiology Symposium will be hosted by the Edelman Fossil Park and Museum on Friday, 27 February 2026!

We welcome attendees from any career stage and invite submission for presentations (oral or poster) on geobiology and adjacent topics including but not limited to: biogeochemistry, biogeography, climate science, ecology, evolutionary biology, geology, geomicrobiology, geochemistry, oceanography, paleobiology, paleoclimatology, and paleontology.

The goal of the annual Mid-Atlantic Geobiology Symposium, initiated in 1990, is to support regional interactions and collaborations to expand understanding of geobiological processes across spatial and temporal scales and at a range of environmental conditions. This yearly event has been hosted by members of various institutions in the Mid-Atlantic (e.g., University of Delaware, John Hopkins University, University of Pennsylvania, Rowan University, Rutgers University, Smithsonian Institution, and U.S. Geological Survey, among others) acting as rotating symposium partners. Ultimately, we hope to bring together researchers of various career stages at a range of institutions (e.g., primarily undergraduate institutions, state and private R1 Universities, and federal research entities) in the region. We are excited to share this tradition with the Northeast Geobiology community through the MANE Geobiology Symposium in 2026.

We hope to see you there!
